Which Leisure Bay homes are right on the beach?

The Bronze Paradise units (2, 6 and 13) are in a secure complex with a pool and direct access to the beach. Belle Cottage is across the road from Kidds Beach, and Sea Spray Cottage is 50 m from the shoreline.

Which beach is best for small children?

Kidds Beach has a shallow bathing area and is good for body boarding. T.O. Strand is a large flat beach and the surf spot in winter. On windy days Peter Pan Bay and Drakes Bay are more sheltered.

What is there to do in Leisure Bay?

Mostly the beach. Experienced anglers fish off Ladder Rock (wear gumboots, because the rocks are slippery), where game fish, rays and sharks are caught. Humpback whales pass close inshore in the winter months, May to August, and the sardine run usually arrives in the same window. One mother and her calf spent time about 250 m off the village. The Leisure Bay Conservancy Committee set aside the wetland next to the Kidds Beach parking area for fireflies in 2020. More in things to do around Port Edward.
