Strand, walk the Umtamvuna Nature Reserve trails, see the red sand hills of the Red Desert Nature Reserve west of Port Edward, fish off Splash Rock or Ladder Rock, and spend a day at the Wild Coast Sun water park.

When can we see whales and the sardine run?
Humpback whales pass close inshore in the winter months, May to August, and the sardine run usually arrives in the same window. A humpback mother and her calf spent some time about 250 m out to sea, just off Leisure Bay. Dolphins feed on the sardine shoals as they move up the coast.
